CHS Performers Take Major Awards at Hunting-Tony Awards

CHS performers were dressed to the nines for the annual Hunting-Tony Awards on Thursday evening.
In all, seven CHS students were nominated for awards for their performances in Noises Off and Pippin: Sofie B., Julia G., Cassidy G., Braden H., Derek H. and Maxwell V.
And CHS came away with several awards.
That included for Noises Off: Derek H. as best lead actor in a play, Sofie B. for best lead actress, Maxwell V. as best supporting actor in a play, best stage crew, best scenery, best costumes, best technical production, best ensemble and best play. And for Pippin: best stage crew in a musical, best costumes, best dance performance, Braden H. as best featured actor, Cassidy G. as best featured actress, Julia G. as best lead actress and best ensemble.
The awards, hosted by Huntington councilman Dr. Dave Bennardo and councilwoman Theresa Mari, also featured nominees from Cold Spring Harbor, Elwood-John Glenn, Hills East, Hills West, Harborfields, Huntington, Northport and Walt Whitman.
