CHS is offering a Discovering Engineering Technologies class for the first time this school year. And Leslie Kaplan's students unveiled and test drove their latest creations during ninth period on Friday.

Equipped with only cardboard, glue and string, the students designed and then constructed shoes.

They wore their creations and traversed the school's hallways and stairs on Friday afternoon.

The prototypes fared well.

One student even added an extra design element, attaching purple-hued fabric to give her design a high-end feel.
