CHS students are getting the lay of the land on Monday … quite literally.

Lead technology teacher Thomas Shea’s civil engineering students are using surveying equipment to chart the gradients of the high school’s fields and create topographical maps.

The Project Lead The Way-inspired assignment has practical real-world implications. For instance, the topographical maps could be used in site development to understand water runoff after storms.
