North Ridge Opens Lending Library Inspired by Eagle Scout Project

CHS senior Jack H. returned to his roots Wednesday to complete an Eagle Scout project.
Jack participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at his alma mater, North Ridge Primary School.
He had constructed and donated a lending library at North Ridge’s entrance and stocked it with children’s books. He also built a bench for the primary school’s main lobby.
Jack, a member of Troop 5 in East Northport, was joined by current North Ridge students who are members of from Girl Scout Troop 1350.
The primary students painted rocks with positive messaging and placed them at the base of the lending library. The Girl Scouts became the first to borrow books from the lending library.
